Paper formatting
The paper format must follow the standard IEEE double-column format of single-spaced text in 10 point Times Roman (or dosely resembling), with 12 point interline space. All printed material, including illustrations, must be kept within a print area of 6-7/8 inches (17.5cm) wide by 8-7/8 inches (22.5cm) high.

Please refer to the following files for detailed formatting instructions: Please note the IEEE CCC number on the lower left side of the first page of the template. This number is specific to this conference and needs to be included as is.

UPDATE: An older version of the FG latex final paper template had the hyperref package enabled by default. This makes any output incompatible with PDF eXpress. The package is not needed and best disabled by commenting or deleting the line with the reference to the package.

IEEE Copyright form
Along with your final paper you need to submit a signed IEEE Copyright form in a digital format. A readable scanned or photographed copy of the signed first page is sufficient. There is no need to include the second standard page of this form in your submission.

The IEEE publication title is: 2008 IEEE International Conference on Automatic Face & Gesture Recognition (FG 2008)
A link for submitting the copyright form is provided at the user area.

IEEE PDF format
Final papers have to be submitted in PDF format. PDF files must be saved as PDF 1.4 (Acrobat 5) or later to meet the requirements for version 4.01 of the IEEE Xplore PDF specification. Papers have to be verified with the IEEE online PDF eXpress tool. We recommend that you convert your MS Word of LaTeX file(s) to PDF with PDF eXpress and submit the resulting PDF document to the conference.

IEEE PDF eXpress
In order to verify or convert your paper to the IEEE compliant PDF format you are required to make use of the IEEE PDF eXpress service BEFORE submitting your final paper to the conference.
The PDF eXpress service requires you to register with a valid email address and password if you have not used this service before.

The FG2008 IEEE PDF eXpress service can be accessed here: http://216.228.1.34/pdfexpress/log.asp. The Conference ID is fg08x.

UPDATE: An older version of the FG latex final paper template had the hyperref package enabled by default. This makes any output incompatible with PDF eXpress. The package is not needed and best disabled by commenting or deleting the line with the reference to the package.

Please note that you have to submit your final paper PDF document to the FG2008 website itself after it has been verified and/or converted with the IEEE PDF eXpress service.
