Call for Special Sessions and Panels
NOTE: the deadline for special session and panel submissions is January 25th.
FG2008 invites proposals for special sessions and panels that highlight important research directions in face and gesture recognition.
Special sessions will comprise four invited papers. The session organizers will be responsible for recruiting and selecting the session papers (including the review process of these submissions). Organizers should consider having the first paper in the session be an overview paper on the topic.
Panels may be organized around a topic of interest to the FG community
and should be focused on key trends and directions in the field.
To submit a special session proposal, include the following information:
- the title of the proposed session,
- a brief abstract explaining the importance and purpose of the session,
- the name(s)/affiliation(s)/contact info of the organizer(s),
- and a tentative list of authors and paper topics (or for a panel, a tentative list of speakers with brief descriptions of their contributions).
Submit the proposal via email to Dr. Vladimir Pavlovic at vladimir+fg08@cs.rutgers.edu.
Questions regarding special sessions or panels may be directed to the same address.
